Head Housekeeper

The head housekeeper’s mission is to ensure that the highest quality of housekeeping is upheld for the guests that are attending camp. Their primary focus is to ensure that all rooms and meeting spaces are maintained clean to ensure that the guests using the facilities have the best experience during their stay.

This person must be Christ filled and be willing to lead with a servant’s heart, full of patience and grace. They must be willing to teach others how to clean at the highest level of guest experience.


The Head Housekeeper will report to the Guest Services Director and be responsible for the following:

Housekeeping Duties:

Ensure all facilities are being cleaned to the highest of standards

Partner with maintenance to ensure that all buildings maintain good repair

Keep inventory of all housekeeping supplies and complete order form weekly so that Guest Services Director is aware of what is needed to be ordered

Research and keep up to date with all cleaning practices

Build a deep cleaning schedule and ensure that it is maintained

Ensure that all housekeeping equipment is maintained and kept up to date

Keep all cleaning closets neat and organized

Make the cleaning for the upcoming group the highest priority

Partner with Guest Relations Specialist to ensure that linens are being washed and made into packets

Keep accurate inventory of linens

Take all lost and found to the lost and found closest. Ensure that it is rotated properly. Bag up the lost and found that has been there for three weeks and partner with the rest of the staff to ensure that it is taken to Love and Care.


Summer Housekeeping Responsibilities:

Teach, manage, and guide summer staff on camp turn days

Ensure that housekeeping is being done in a quality and timely manner

Check public restrooms daily for any paper goods needs and to ensure they are being kept clean


Program Assistance:

Butman site specific certification for low ropes, high ropes and rock wall is a plus (obtain ACCT Level 1 certification and maintain currency, if possible).

First Aid required.

Emergency Care Attendant/ First Responder certification is a plus.

Must pass a criminal background check, a sex offender database check, and a credit check.


Any Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor
