Assistant Director of Guest Experiences
The Assistant Director of Guest Experiences ensures the safety of guests and strives to deliver an outstanding experience to campers, retreat guests, parents, partner churches and other guests who utilize the Michigan overnight property. The Assistant Director of Guest Experiences will also manage, train, staff, purchase, and inventory our camp store which operates year-round.

Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service in a fast paced, ever-changing environment and ensure that guests have a high-quality experience. This includes summer camp, programmed retreats (winter teen retreats, family experiences, and custom guest groups) Plan and execute custom retreats for guest groups. Contract and invoice groups that align with guest group pricing Assist in securing new guest groups to meet financial goals for the ministry Assist in the recruitment of summer staff from September – May each year Manage front of house operations in the trading post and café. This includes recruiting/hiring staff as needed, training and managing inventory of SpringHill apparel and food/drink options.
Requirements Basic requirements:
Commitment to the mission and ministry of the organization
Preferred requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years working in camping ministry Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time performing tasks independently Ability to exercise judgement and make good, sound decisions Provide fun and engaging experiences for all guests and campers This job requires you to work nights and weekends as needed. Complete other duties as assigned by the Activities and Guest Experience Director. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license for required travel Ability and willingness to actively travel recruiting on college campuses from October to May (approximately 25-30 days) Must be able to lift, bend, and twist Ability to push and pull loads Must be able to lift frequently up to 50 lbs.; occasionally 50-100 lbs. with assistance Good hand-eye coordination
