Sous Chef/ Assistant Chef
The Assistant Chef is responsible for the successful management of all aspects of the culinary and dining department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to supporting the Head Chef with supervision, food preparation, safety, and sanitation. This also includes special events planning, controlling food costs and inventory, and maintaining excellent customer and employee satisfaction.
The Assistant Chef must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. They must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and have schedule flexibility to cove all meal periods as needed.
Previous food service experience is required. Applicant must have proven ability of kitchen management and ability of dividing responsibilities and monitor progress. Applicant also needs outstanding communication and leadership skills and be knowledgeable about computer programs such as Google Sheets, Docs, and Calendar. Needs to be ServSafe Certified or have the ability to get certified within 3 months of employment.
