Retreats Lead Host

This position reports directly to the Retreats Coordination Manager. The Lead Host is the face and voice of Camp Cho-Yeh to retreat groups while they are on-site. The ideal candidate loves interacting with people, and is infectiously positive and outgoing. Hospitality and customer service are the main drivers in this role.

This person is the primary point of contact for a retreat group leader from beginning to end of the group’s stay at camp. From running group orientation to meal instructions, this person is a confident public speaker and thrives on exceptional customer service. The Lead Host is accessible 24/7 to the retreat group during their stay, is a fast problem solver, and willing to get their hands dirty when needed . This role will collaborate with the Coordination Team, Program Team and Facilities Team to ensure a smooth stay for retreat groups.

The Lead Host will have a clear picture and pulse of each group’s schedule and work alongside the Program Team to make sure group activities are functioning on time and with excellence.

This person is also responsible for scheduling, training and managing a team of Group Hosts as needed. This role is very active outside, and will at times require the Lead Host to step into activity facilitation.
