We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to live and work in a close community to serve in the much-needed role of Rentals and Tourism Assistant. The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have about 100 people who live on-site year round, comprised of: full-time staff and families and seasonal staff. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for somewhat remote living.

Title: Rentals and Tourism Assistant
Department: Guest Relationships
Reports To: Director of Rentals

Overall Responsibility
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with the internal and external customers of the Camp Eagle Family of Camps.
Strong administrative skills (Google Suite, Salesforce, Monday, etc.)
Heavy scheduling and administrative management of large quantities of information
Professional demeanor managing customer relationships and navigating conflict management with ease
Willingness to learn new skills on a daily basis and thrive in a fluid environment
Ability to be flexible with time-off based on the ebbs and flows of the seasonal demands
Form authentic relationships with group sponsors and leaders, teachers, future guests, and staff (full-time and seasonal)
Aid in the purchasing of necessary equipment and material for the success of all programs
Manage customer bookings for a variety of events (i.e. retreats, conferences, bike races, zip tours, etc.)
Help gather/edit/monitor content for Glorieta websites and social media
Be willing to work in Retreats, Summer Programs, Conferences, Zip Tour, Kitchen, and Housekeeping departments and be able to fill in as needed
Assist the Director in whatever else is required
Other Duties of ALL Glorieta Staff: We operate year-round. We have guests on the premises almost every day of the year. Serving guests is our number one priority, and therefore ALL staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, facilitating group activities, running retail locations, general maintenance of camp property, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members will be required to work certain weekends as needed.
Character, Education, Abilities, Skills, Experience:
The “ideal” candidate will have:
A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to scripture and will continue to pursue that further
Strong sense of hospitality and customer service
High degree comfortability with phone calls and emails and guest interaction and public speaking
College Degree is preferred
Ability to use technological systems at Camp proficiently
Proficiency in use of spreadsheets
Experience with Salesforce
Ability to work long hours
Ability to confront, encourage, and inspire staff towards excellence in their work
Easily communicates with guests and staff in a professional manner
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Experience with event planning or the equivalent is highly desired
High level of managing details and and motivating people
Ability to delegate and respond to situations in a Christ-centered way
Ability to problem solve and be flexible and adaptable with the changing and developing needs of guests and staff and handle the resulting actions with speed and kindness

Work Context: This job will be performed primarily on location at the Glorieta, New Mexico location

Travel: Occasional travel to help with recruiting, marketing, or training.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60 lbs, sit in office, hike, stand all day, be willing to get your hands dirty.
Work Environment: Will be asked to help with logistics and all-camp projects, including working in inclement weather conditions throughout the year.
Training: Employees will be given opportunities for improvement through appropriate training.
Compensation: Salary or hourly, on­site housing, medical insurance, 401(k) retirement package after one year, and paid vacation time. See HR and/or potential supervisor for details.
