Program Director - Footprints
Camp Agape is a 501(c)(3), Non-Profit Organization operating in support of children between 7 and 12 years of age, who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Camp Agape has expanded their programs and now offers an after school program in the Georgetown area for children, teens and families.
Camp Agape offers the fun and activities of an after school program for children and families focused on helping children and parents work with their loss, learn from their grief, and find a new hope from their loss.
We are looking for a Program Director for our Footprints Ministry Program. This is a contract paid position.
The Program Director for Footprints will provide overall leadership for the ministry to fulfill its mission to organize, deploy, instruct, assign, and oversee all projects to assure that Camp AGAPE is not only safe but fulfills its mission on the behalf of grieving children and their families. Program Director will work directly under and with the Vice President of Programs to successfully hold Footprints Ministry Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES The Program Director is responsible for:
a) Directing the recruitment of families, counselors, nurse and mental health professionals as needed for the Footprints Ministry Program
a) Filing monthly reports with the Board Secretary and President informing the board about the status of projects and Footprints Ministry Program preparations
b) Filing a post Footprints report with the Board Secretary and President
c) Providing monthly reports to the Finance Committee of all such expenditures
d) Submit detailed quarterly reports of projects completed for payment of quarterly salary
e) Advising the Board on governance decisions that may affect the operation of the Footprints Ministry Program including location, facilities, personnel, applicable laws, and health and safety
a) Maintain regular communication with families after they apply up to the commencement of the Footprints Ministry Program
b) Working directly with the Vice President of Programs to ensure that all aspects of the Footprints Ministry Program planning are complete and successful.
c) Operating the Footprints Ministry Program in a manner that complies with the purpose of the Corporation
d) Maintaining records in compliance with applicable laws and the Corporation Records Retention Policy
e) Such other duties and responsibilities as set forth in her / his contract
f) Obtaining all required permits for the operation of Footprints Ministry Program
g) Communicate with committee chairs at least once a month providing support to the committees
h) Communicate important due dates to the teams and committees
Program Director shall possess the experience, knowledge, and /or education and training necessary to facilitate the operation of the Footprints Ministry Program and assigned projects. The Program Director should be proficient with the following computer skills: word processor, spreadsheets, Internet, email.
