Day Camp Site Leader

The Day Camp Seasonal Director provides leadership for their team with the ultimate purpose of reaching the mission to enable young people to know Jesus Christ and grown in their relationship with Him. The Day Camp Seasonal Director commits to and fully embodies this mission, vision and the core values of SpringHill while working collaboratively with their team and host partners to create this culture. The Day Camp Seasonal Director is responsible to lead and manage the overall experience for campers, summer leaders, parents, and church partners.

Key Job Functions

•Ability to build trusting relationships and coordinate logistics prior, during and post summer with church partners, summer leaders and all other vested SpringHill KFADS.
•Ensure day camp experiences are created, implemented efficiently, and reinforce the teachings of Biblical truth.
•Promote growth and development in young, potential new community leaders.
•Responsible for the management of the budget, operations, risk, safety and quality of team.
•Demonstrated ability to problem solve and make sound decisions and to accept full responsibility for the overall SpringHill experience.
•Ability to facilitate, follow up and debrief the SpringHill experience in order to improve communication with all vested KFADS.
•Ability to field parent, host partner and other KFADS questions, comments and concerns in a professional manner.
•Manage the risk and safety of all KFADS.
•Complete other duties as assigned by the Day Camp Operational Director

Experience and Qualifications Requirements
•Commitment to the mission, core values and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.
•Proven ability to lead a team with the desire to see change and growth.
•Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required for the development of relationships with host partners, summer leaders, parents, campers and other KFADS.
•Bachelor’s Degree required.
•Prior experience in ministry or related field.
•Self-starter who is highly motivated and able to work unsupervised for extended periods.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
•Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the region and occasionally within other geographic regions served by SpringHill
•Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
•Ability to push and pull loads
•Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance
•Good hand-eye coordination
