Indiana Overnight Camp Experience Director

The Indiana Experience Director is responsible to deliver an outstanding experience to all campers, parents and guests by leading a safe and Gospel-centered experience. They will deliver this experience through the development of college-aged summer leaders. They will recruit, onboard, train and lead a team of college aged summer leaders.

Key Job Functions

Lead and manage the implementation of an incredible summer camp experience
Responsible to manage the performance, culture, and experience of a team of summer leaders through spiritual development
Lead the overall summer programs and logistics at INON, including the parent experience
Responsible for the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention of Indiana summer leaders (leadership and counselor roles)
Engage in personal, continuous year-round communication with summer leaders influencing spiritual growth
Responsible for the development and training of Indiana summer leaders, equipping them for success in all summer leader program roles.
Assist in the creation of age-appropriate curriculum development
Manage the risk and safety of campers and staff.
Understand, maintain, and steward the INON budget.
Engage with camper, summer leader and parent conflict, discipline, correction, and resolution.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Chief Experience Officer

Basic requirements:

Commitment to the mission and ministry of the organization
Bachelor's Degree required
Basic computer skills required, proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings as needed in the summer months
Preferred requirements:

5+ years of experience in camping ministry or ministry related field
Self-confident, extroverted and highly relational with the ability to motivate teams
Passionate about the spiritual development and growth of summer leaders
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
Ability to push and pull loads
Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance
Good hand-eye coordination
