Who We are:
Tarryall River Ranch is a family-owned Guest ranch located in Lake George, Colorado. Operating since the 1920’s, Tarryall boasts a long history of providing excellent hospitality and Western fun. Today our ranch hosts a wide range of Christian ministries, non-profit organizations, and those in our community in need. We are also open to the public for day rides, overnight stays, and private events.
A summer at Tarryall is more than a job, It is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and develop teaching skills that will last long beyond life here at the ranch. We are looking for hard working, cheerful, motivated individuals who are service minded and enjoy community. Our Summer Head Chef position has a pay of $20/hr to $25/hr, plus tips, and includes room and board.
The staff at Tarryall River Ranch is a close-knit, team-oriented community. The nature of the work requires all staff to be willing to pitch in and help wherever needed, regardless of the task or the department it falls under.
-Must be able to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment that passes all health code and food safety requirements.
-Responsible for all aspects of daily food preparation and service for our guests, including the cooking and baking necessary for
lunch, dinner, and different events.
-Responsible for overseeing the sous chefs and summer staff helping in the kitchen and dining room.
-Responsible for stocking the kitchen and ordering necessary deliveries of food.
-Communicating and ensuring follow-through of various duties (sous chefs/wait staff/dishwashers/etc.)
-Cooking for a variety of dietary needs.
-Work our special events that happen occasionally at the ranch.
-Must be at least 18 years of age.
-Should have a high school diploma or GED, with official certificate/diploma for schooling in a Culinary Arts program being
-We would like proof of current Food Safety Certification.
-Demonstrated ability to teach with patience.
-Should be aware of and comply with sanitation regulations as well as safety standards applicable to the kitchen and dining room.
-Vital to maintain a high level of integrity and interpersonal skills both with fellow employees and TRR customers.
-Should have the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
