Program Director at Fort Bluff Camp

The Teen Camp Program Director will be the face of the camp during the three weeks of Teen Camp. The Teen Camp Program Director will report to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate is someone that has a passion for summer camp and for seeing young people experience Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.

Responsibilities Include:

-Lead the summer camp program for the three weeks of Teen Camp
-Proficiency teaching God’s Word
-Utilize creativity with music and visual aids to improve the camp experience
-Set the tone for the camp activities and Chapel services from the platform
-Be comfortable with public speaking and engaging a large crowd of young students and youth/children's pastors
-Work cooperatively with other staff to ensure the summer camp program runs safely and effectively
-On-site housing required during orientation and 3 weeks of camp
-Abide by camp personnel policies and implement camp goals by modeling a Christian and ethical lifestyle
-Lead team games, recreational times, and other camp activities
-Develop an appropriate mentoring relationship with Program Staff
-Schedule events and activities for Program Staff
-Become familiar with camp property, facilities, and surroundings
-Answer questions about the scheduled events of the program
-Model good stewardship of all camp property and equipment
-Possess a good attitude and let your actions reflect that Christ lives within you and that you are serving Him
-Other duties will be assigned as deemed necessary by Executive Director

Eligibility Requirements:

-Committed Christian walk and good reputation
-Be at least 21 years of age
-A clear understanding of the mission and purpose of Fort Bluff Camp
-Must be able to uphold Fort Bluff Camp’s Staff Policies for conduct and professionalism
-Flexibility is a must, evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand
-Successful completion staff harassment and abuse training
-Ability to pass local and federal criminal background check

Physical Work Environment:

-Standing and walking for the majority of the day
-Portions of the day will be spent in the Chapel, the rest will be outdoors in various locations
-Lifting, pushing, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, reaching, handling, feeling at least 70% of the day
-Sitting less than 10% of the day
-Lifting up to 50 lbs. Regularly
