Team Member Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary

Responsible for sourcing talent needed to accomplish Ridgecrest’s mission of Impacting Lives for God’s Glory Through Purposeful Hospitality, with a primary focus on non-exempt frontline positions (full-time, part-time, seasonal). Actively involved in recruiting, stakeholder communications, and general staffing support. Coordinates team member acquisition initiatives to promote Ridgecrest as a choice employer. Primary responsibility for building external candidate pool. Responsible for identification of candidates meeting hiring qualifications, conducting initial interviews, transitioning viable candidates to appropriate supervisors, and assisting applicants through the interviewing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

-Recruit and evaluate candidates, advising supervisors on potential fit (Ridgecrest culture, attitude, skills, experience)
-Pre-screen candidates as a first level filter
-Coordinate recruiting event participation and workforce development initiatives with varied sources, e.g., community contacts, staffing partnerships, college career services
-Primary point of contact with staffing agencies; develop and maintain preferred vendor roster; evaluate agency performance and results
-Plan and operate proactively to meet seasonal staffing requests and goals, building diverse labor pipelines
-Maintain close working and operational relationships with Ridgecrest supervisors and staff, and maintain a working understanding of company operations and job specifics

Requirements


Education, Work Experience and Other Qualifications

-Two or four-year degree in human resources or service industry preferred
-Conversational Spanish strongly preferred
-At least one year of related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
-Ideal candidate will have recruitment and/or workforce development background; service industry experience preferred
-Adept at creating and implementing labor sourcing strategies and solutions
-Outstanding interpersonal skills
-Proven track record of building community partnerships and positive working relationships
-Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
-Excellent project/time management, planning and organizational skills; prioritizes -work, adapts as needed
-Proactive; anticipates, addresses, and troubleshoots issues; excellent problem-solving skills; exercises good judgement
-Collaborative
-Must have valid driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical requirements of this position include:

Must possess the necessary physical stamina for walking/standing/working for extended periods
Position will require significant time working on a computer
Position requires some travel and evening/weekend work
