Guest Spaces, Summer Staff

$425/week. Free housing! Free meals! Unforgettable summer!

The Guest Spaces team provides a welcoming setting for our guests by keeping things clean and safe. Starting each day with a devotion and prayer, our team takes time to re-center on Jesus and focus on the task at hand. This job is very physically challenging, but is rewarding to be a part of helping the guest to relax, focus, and renew. There are three areas in Guest Spaces:

Housekeeping: Responsibilities include refreshing the guest rooms and thorough room cleaning. Bending, stooping, lifting, and guest interaction are an integral part of this job. Independent and team-work skills are a must!
Custodial: Responsibilities include maintaining public areas such as restrooms, lobbies, elevators, and floors. Be a part of setting the stage where all the action takes place! It is a physically challenging but rewarding job that has a lot of guest interaction!
Laundry: Responsibilities include folding, sorting, bundling, washing, and delivering supplies. Laundry is physically challenging work that includes standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and lifting. Come be a part of an impressive laundry facility that produces 36-40 loads per day!
As a Guest Spaces Summer Staffer, you will have the opportunity to serve in each of these areas during your time at Ridgecrest. The hours of work will vary due to staffing needs, and this team works on weekends. We ask that summer staff come into work with a positive attitude and a willingness to do what is asked. We work hard, but we are appreciated well! Our team does its best at celebrating team members and team accomplishments.

Our Summer Staff are a dynamic team who have a genuine desire to come alongside Ridgecrest in our mission of Impacting Lives for God’s Glory. Summer Staff have the incredible opportunity to interact with and serve guests from all over the world from May-August. Our prayer is that our program is a life-changing experience. We want Summer Staff to experience God and encourage them as they grow in their relationship with Him, equip them with skills they will carry with them for years to come, and build a strong community among our team where they will meet lifelong friends. Here are a few things you will get to be a part of:

Weekly discipleship programs (Chapel, Community Group, Service Projects, etc.)
Planned events on campus (Sporting Events, All-Team Hangouts, Picnics, etc.)
Serving in a behind-the-scenes role around Ridgecrest
Staffers must have an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus, have great communication skills, and be self-motivated. There will be long/busy days and staffers should be prepared to work hard both mentally and physically. We offer an opportunity for those in the program to learn and develop skills that are useful in everyday life. Through training and hands-on experience, you have the opportunity to learn about leadership and the responsibilities that come with it.
