Director of Family Experiences

The Director of Family Experiences strives to advance the mission of SpringHill by creating a memorable, fun shared experience for kids and millennial families by partnering with parents, and all who love them, to develop and deepen spiritual habits that can easily be transferred to their regular patterns back at home. As an expert of family and children ministries at SpringHill, the Director of Family Experiences is responsible to design a one-of-a-kind family camp experience where families learn how to integrate their faith into every aspect of their lives. The experience will support and equip caring adults to take ownership of their kids’ spiritual development by providing simple resources and adventurous activities that will create learning moments for their child.



Key Job Functions

Design and implement a brand-new unique family camp experience integrating SpringHill core values that focuses on reaching kids, while partnering with parents to execute the experience
Cast vision for young families to understand the value and need for the family camp experience and how its impact influences the spiritual formation of their kids
Ability to build relationships with parents, campers, churches and summer leaders who are vested in the program to ensure the success of the experience
Collaborate with MI and IN Summer Experience Managers to mobilize summer leaders to facilitate the family camp experience
Contribute to the development of summer leader training to enable staff to effectively serve families
Provide direct on-site leadership for family camp experiences, serving as the on-site Director, ensuring the experience delivers the intended mission with excellence
Lead, train and nurture the team of Summer Leaders in their development spiritually, professionally and personally
Write and deliver the curriculum that families will utilize together. Teach/communicate/speak spiritual truths that lead to transformation.
Collaborative team player, able to work with multiple teams towards one common outcome
Prepare assigned budgets, manage expenses and use a variety of financial reports to make sound financial decisions.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Chief Experience Officer


Experience and Qualifications Requirements

Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill
Bachelor’s degree required
5 plus years of experience in family and children ministry preferred
Visionary Leader with work experience in starting something new
Relational leader with the ability to lead a team while building effective programs
Entrepreneur with the ability to work independently for extended periods of time
Basic computer skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements



Ability, desire and willingness to travel within geographic regions served by SpringHill
Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
Ability to push and pull loads
Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance
Good hand-eye coordination
