Activity Host Coordinator

The Activity Host Coordinator ensures the safety of guests and strives to deliver an outstanding experience to campers, retreat guest, parents, partner churches and other guests who visit and utilize the Indiana overnight location. The Activity Host Coordinator provides the oversite and direction of all activities on camp property along with planning, communicating, implementation, reporting, documentation and hosting custom guest retreat experiences. The Activity Host Coordinator is responsible to oversee specialty housing reservations and assignments of all guests.


Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service in a fast paced, ever changing environment and ensure that guests have a high quality experience
Communicate activity, group schedules and needs with all relevant departments in a timely and effective manner.
Plan and execute custom retreats for guest groups including facilitating activities for guest groups.
Provide oversight of all activity areas including documentation, regular inspections, repairs, maintenance, continuous improvement and budgeting
Ensure that activity areas operate in accordance with current activity manuals, ACCT, ACA and CCCA standards and update manuals as required
Assist with the coordination of the retreat staff, summer leaders and activity staff/instructors during each season as needed
Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

Requirements
Basic requirements:

Commitment to the mission and ministry of the organization


Preferred requirements:

Bachelor's Degree
Experience in camp ministry or event planning
Experience and/or certification in three or more of the following areas: target sports, aquatics, high adventure, equine, crafts, project management, etc. and a willingness to acquire expertise/certification in other areas
ACCT Level 2 or Challenge Course Manager certified preferred, or have the ability to achieve certification within the first year of employment
A highly motivated self-starter who is able to work unsupervised for extended periods of time and has the ability to exercise good judgment and make informed decisions independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Services
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
Ability to push and pull loads
Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance
Good hand-eye coordination
