ROLE OVERVIEW:
Summer Camp Oversee summer camp employees, their lodging and meals, as well as ensuring the wellbeing of campers. Managing the allocated budget, as well as ordering summer camp equipment and supplies. Creating unique activities for campers while ensuring safe, knowledgeable execution of the activities by the leaders in an overall healthy and safe summer camp environment. Busy season during June and July, overtime required.
Events Plan and execute all events, taking responsibility for the creative, technical, and logistical elements. This includes, but is not limited to, overall event design, logistics, budgeting, marketing and communication strategy, audio-visual production.
Reports To: Guest Services Director
Supervises: Summer Staff

Plan and Execute All Summer Camps and Special Events
Programming
1. Coordinate with the speakers to pick a theme for each week of camp
2. Work with other staff/volunteers to build out sets/props for summer theme
3. Develop a schedule and keep camp running on time
4. Plan all activities and oversee execution
5. Give vision to other staff/volunteers to build out sets/props for retreat themes
6. Develop a schedule and keep retreat running on time

Summer and Event Staffing
1. Hire speakers and bands for each week of camp or special events as needed
2. Give direction to speaker and band leader leading up to and during camp/event
3. Recruiting - Use 3 Step Interview Process
a. Activity tracked through Dashboard-style Excel Shared spreadsheet
b. Once initial interview and follow-up interview is completed, draw in Dept Head for 3rd Interview
c. Camp Director to sign-off on each proposed staff before contract offered
4. Coordinate online training program for summer staff prior to arrival and on-site training for summer staff
5. Plan and coordinate weekly summer staff meetings/devotionals
6. Supervise summer and event staff for effective job performance
7. Mentor and guide the summer staff toward emotional and spiritual health
8. Maintain connection with summer/event staff alumni

GUEST GROUPS
1. Host mid-week and weekend groups as scheduled
2. Oversee the recruiting of qualified staff for programmed and special event operation

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
1. Become trained in Emergency Medical Response ( EMR), if not obtained and current already
2. Must be willing to help with other areas, projects, etc. as they come up
