Glorieta Camps is looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to live and work in a close community to serve in the much-needed role of Support Technician. The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have about 100 people who live on-site year round. This group includes full-time staff, staff families, and interns. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for a somewhat remote style of living.

Job Description
Title: Support Technician
Department: Guest Experience
Reports To: Director of Operations

The purpose of the Support Technician is to fulfill our mission of inspiring Christ-like change by maintaining, upgrading and managing our software, computer hardware, networks, and AVL (audio/visual/lighting) installations. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology and AVL infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Overall Responsibility and Expectations
Install and configure software and computer hardware
Install, configure, and troubleshoot AVL (audio/visual/lighting) components
Manage networks, servers, and cloud technology platforms
Provide technology and AVL help desk support for all staff, making sure all applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
Set up login accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure information security through access controls, backups and security devices
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Maintain technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

Character, Education, Abilities, Skills, Experience:
The “ideal” candidate will be self-motivated and disciplined. Must possess effective customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Must have the ability to develop rapport and gain trust over the phone and the internet.
Personal and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ
Passion to support an organization striving to create Christ-like change
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Experience with directory services, networks (LAN, WAN) and systems management
Knowledge of network and system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Ability to create scripts to automate tasks
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, including:
Cisco Meraki
Ubiquiti UNMS
Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android
Microsoft Office 365
Google Workspace
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)) is a plus

Work Context: This job will be performed primarily on location in Glorieta, New Mexico.

Travel: Possible infrequent travel for training and development.

Work Environment: This position will require performing work in various locations and buildings around our campus.

Training: All employees will be given the opportunity to improve their skills through appropriate training. This will include ongoing coaching and on the job training as a regular part of this position.

Compensation: Full-time salary, on-site housing including utilities, health and wellness plan, retirement benefits with matching funds, paid vacation time, flexible work schedule
