Summer Missions Team: Support Staff
Our Summer Missions Program is an 11-week, life-changing experience designed around our "Four Developmental Promises" (discipleship, service, healthy living, and community). Support staff receive specialized training including these areas: maintenance, activity leadership, housekeeping, kitchen sanitation, and teamwork. Support staff gain real servant leader experience as they support the entire summer staff, kitchen staff, maintenance staff, and summer campers. We invest in you and you invest in our campers.
We ask summer missions staff to fundraise $1,800 (tax deductible donations). This covers your housing, food, and other expenses for the summer, and you can fundraise an additional $4,000 as your summer salary. Dickson Valley will support you with fundraising tools and coaching.
Early Bird Savings: Accept your offer by these dates to lower your $1,800 fee.
• November 20–save $400 ($1400 summer missions fee)
• December 11–save $300 ($1500 summer missions fee)
• January 2–save $200 ($1600 summer missions fee)
Time Commitment. Summer missions staff should plan to arrive at camp on May 23, and training takes place through June 4. Day Camps begin June 6 and ends on August 6. We will gather on August 7-8 to clean up camp and debrief the summer experience.
College Credit. A summer missions experience may fulfill your academic program’s internship requirement. We’re happy to communicate program details to your advisors and work with you to help you receive college credit for working and serving with Dickson Valley.
