Glorieta Adventure Camps are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, and a desire to live and work in a close community to serve in the much-needed role of Sales Representative. The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have about 120 people who live on-site year-round, comprised of full-time staff, families of staff, and retreats staff. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for a desire for adventurous living.
Title: Sales Representative
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Purpose: To fulfill our mission of inspiring Christ-like change by implementing the overall sales strategy for camp, cultivating seamless communication internally and externally, providing excellent customer service, in addition to developing greater strengths in the sales field. This is a frontline sales position working to meet goals and maximize customer reach and engagement by building trust with guests over various channels of communication. All of this is done with the overall purpose of getting people to camp and allowing them to experience life-change.
Overall Responsibility and Expectations:
Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with the internal and external customers of Glorieta Camps.
Generate sales by answering questions and eliciting as much information as possible to help our customers determine the programs that best meet their needs.
Frequently travel locally, regionally, and nationally, to cultivate leads through events and face-to-face meetings.
Maintain ongoing, personal contact and follow up with our customers while displaying outstanding Customer Service skills and teamwork.
Respond promptly (within 48 hours) and professionally to all email, phone, chat and other inquiries received from customers.
Demonstrate a current, accurate, and comprehensive knowledge of each program offered by Glorieta Adventure Camps.
Interact with potential and existing customers through a variety of different channels: email, phone, face to face, social media, etc.
Log detailed information from conversations/events/emails into Salesforce and Monday.com.
Establish and maintain professional working relationships with employees, managers, and external constituents by demonstrating consistent Trust Sales behaviors.
Continually sharpen sales/technology/customer service skills. Learn new programs and implement new tactics via the internet and over the phone conversations.
Occasionally host Retreat and School groups.
Occasionally speak/present in front of large groups of guests or potential customers
On-Site Sales (March - October)
Guest facing- Focus on building relationships with guests for the purpose of making sure needs are met and looking for opportunities to cross-sell.
Occasionally host Retreat and School groups.
Connecting with customers by joining in their experiences and being present while they are attending a summer camp or retreat program.
Character, Education, Abilities, Skills, Experience:
The “ideal” candidate will be self-motivated and disciplined. Must possess effective sales, customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Must have the ability to develop rapport and gain trust over the phone and the internet.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales
Demonstrated sales success
Exceptional writing and telephone communication skills Strong computer skills, including chat, internet, and email proficiency
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of team members and guests
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and their Google counterparts, Google Drive, and Gmail
Experience with Instant Messaging technology
Experience with Salesforce
Ability to prioritize time well, manage several projects at a once, and work under deadlines
Capable of working in an unstructured environment, while successfully completing projects with minimal supervision
Ability to consistently and properly follow up with customers
Easily communicate with guests of all ages and in all walks of life in a professional and engaging manner
Ability to seek professional growth and seek constructive criticism
Confident, dynamic, positive, and driven
Possess a current driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles as needed
Other Duties of ALL Glorieta Staff: We operate year-round. We have guests on the premises almost every day of the year. Serving guests is our number one priority, therefore ALL staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, facilitating group activities, running retail locations, general maintenance of camp property, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members will be required to work on certain weekends as needed.
Work Context and Travel: Required travel for sales, marketing, training, and other organizational needs.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 40lbs), sit, hike long distances, stand for long periods of time, bend, and squat. Must be able to perform any of the above work duties for an extended period of time and/or repetitively without assistance.
Work Environment: Most work will be done indoors with some outdoor events.
Training: All employees will be given an opportunity for improvement through appropriate training. Glorieta Camps will provide world-class sales training for all members of our sales team. This will include ongoing coaching and training workshops as a regular part of this position.
Compensation: Full-time, salaried position including housing and benefits.
Preferred Minimum Commitment: 24 months
