Summer Camp Counselor
Responsible for the safety and well being of the campers.
Responsible for the cleanliness of cabin and the areas immediately outside of the cabins.
See that campers are on time for meals and scheduled activities
Stay with campers throughout the day’s events.
Stay with your campers through the night time hours.
Perform periodic roll calls or head counts to see that campers are all present and accounted for.
If a camper is sick or injured, take him or her to the camp health care director.
Complete an incident for each accident. Give it to health care director for review and filing.
Responsible for camper’s behavioral management.
Give campers proper direction using approved behavioral management tools.
Assist recreation director in recreation, water carnivals, and other activities. Explain rules of activities and any necessary directions that campers may need to know to participate.
Be a positive influence on campers, leading by example.
Be a Christian witness to campers.
Be aware of and follow all 3 Trails Camp policies and procedures.
Be in attendance at all staff and camp meetings.
Carry out assignments given for camp registration.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be able to support the mission of The Salvation Army and our Christian camp. $300 per week plus lodging and all meals provided.
Camp Counselors must live at Three Trails Camp from May 26 to July 17, 2020.
About The Salvation Army Three Trails Camp & Retreat Center
The primary purpose of Three Trails summer camp program is to provide a safe environment where individuals can learn about God and His creation, develop healthy relationships, gain new skills, and have fun.
