OVERVIEW: The Flint Valley Service Delivery team consists of 5 teams: Reservations, Retreats, Activities, Food Service, and Maintenance. Each of these teams work to provide consistent service so that all campers and guests can have an experience at NLR that allows them the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ. The Support Services Assistant will work within these departments, based on the needs of our guests and staff. This will provide a unique opportunity to see many different sides of camp and to interact with a lot of different staff and guests.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Retreat Coordinator
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, exhibiting evidence of a consistent, growing, daily walk.
Is in agreement with New Life Ranch’s mission, statement of faith, and policies, and with the mission and vision statements of the Service Delivery team.
Has a strong desire to grow as a leader.
Is professional in regard to communication, hygiene, dress, and attitude.
Desires to serve the Lord by using his/her gifts and abilities to partner with campers, guests, and group leaders to provide the most impactful experience possible.
Possesses patience, flexibility and a servant’s heart in working with guests and staff.
Is a “people person” who can have a good rapport with people of various ages and can relate well.
Is able to perform physically demanding work when necessary.
Learn New Life Ranch Brand Identifiers and how it applies to serving in various Service Delivery Teams.
Participate in the training and orientation program regarding hosting and serving groups.
Help run and facilitate activities, such as, lifeguarding, target sports, high ropes etc.
Work retail locations around camp.
Meal preparation, service and cleanup.
Assist in maintaining grounds and facilities around camp.
Cleaning and organizing facilities in preparation for guests.
Become ACCT Level One Practitioner certified in order to facilitate high ropes activities.
Be able to obtain your Lifeguard and CPR Certification before start date or within 30 days.
Participate in the Staff Development Model, through regular meetings with your coach and by participating in development tools and programs provided by NLR.
Attend and participate in scheduled staff meetings.
This is a seasonal position with a 10 month contract beginning July 14, 2020 and ending June 5, 2021.
Salary of $800 - $1,000 per month dependant on education and experience with the option to raise support. Room and partial board will be provided at New Life Ranch. Trainings and certifications will be provided by New Life Ranch.
NLR will give you time off, equal to 2 days off a week. You will be required to work no more than 2 weekends a month.
