ACTIVITIES STAFF POSITION

Our mission at Glorieta Adventure Camps is to inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships and Biblical truth...to change the world. As a summer staffer you are integral to the implementation of this mission!
What will you be doing?
The responsibility of an Activity Summer Staff is to maintain safety, conduct inspections, facilitate activities and more for all activities at camp. As an Activity Summer Staff, you will maintain equipment (including, but not limited to Harnesses, Helmets, safety lanyards, areas surrounding the activities, first aid supplies, activity structures, waterfront structures, gear sheds, etc), be available for guest needs/questions/concerns, and ensure proper enforcement and compliance of activity policies and procedures.
Inspecting all activities (including waterfront activities) and ensuring they are functioning properly and ready to use for the day - closing down any activity that is not properly functioning and alerting your supervisor when necessary
Maintain group safety
Maintaining cleanliness of activity areas and lake area
Keeping up with the schedule of duties for the day
Record any incidents of the day in proper form (activity/injury forms)
Check weather updates and proceed as necessary
Lock-up activities when shift is complete
Serve camp in other areas including retail, housekeeping, set up and tear down of guest experience
Attend Activities meetings
Attend bible studies

Each of these programs has a specific purpose and goal to reach a population/age-group for the purpose of inspiring Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships and Biblical truth.
Where will you be serving?
At Glorieta Adventure Camps, in Glorieta, New Mexico. We have 2400 acres and lots of space for activities, fellowship, and worship. Each program has a specific area that is set-aside to serve campers and guests.
Arrival date is on May 17, 2020 and departure date is August 2nd or August 9th, 2020. May 17 will start our training weeks and we welcome our first campers on May 31st.
Food and housing will be provided along with a weekly stipend of $133.00 [before taxes].
