The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have about 120 people who live on-site year round, comprised of full-time staff, staff families, and seasonal staff. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for somewhat remote living.


Job Purpose

This position will give applicants the opportunity to serve and learn in many different behind the scenes areas of camp. Guides will have the flexibility to move around the different fields of the Guest Experience department to serve where the need is greatest, as well as the opportunity to choose a field to specialize in. Guest Experience is comprised of Activities, Retail, Grounds, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Fleet, and Food Services. This role will be an important part of ensuring guests experience a safe and welcoming environment and will work with our team to exceed guest expectations of the overall operations on the Glorieta property.


Schedule

Seasonal February 17th - May 31st


Overall Responsibility

Activities - Aid in inspections, maintenance, and running of activities

Retail - Cleaning, stocking, and running of retail locations

Grounds - Perform groundskeeping maintenance duties including, but not limited to: cutting lawns, planting flowers, applying fertilizer, raking, pruning, and watering

Maintenance - Aid the maintenance team in the upkeep, repair, and winterization/de-winterization of the various buildings across camp

Housekeeping - Help housekeeping manager lead cleans, inventory products, and clean spaces

Fleet - Assist fleet manager with vehicle upkeep

Food Services - Learn the kitchen processes and help with meal prep and serving

Other Duties of ALL Glorieta Staff

We operate year-round. We have guests on the premises almost every day of the year. Serving guests is our number one priority, and therefore ALL staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, facilitating group activities, running retail locations, general maintenance of camp property, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members will be required to work certain weekends as needed.

Must be flexible and able to change tasks to meet the greatest need at the time


Work Context

This job will be performed primarily on location at the Glorieta, New Mexico location


Travel

Minimal travel may be required to assist in recruiting and marketing trips


Physical Demands

Ability to walk for long distances across varying terrain

Ability to work long hours for long stretches of days

The lifting of heavy objects

Bending, squatting, twisting, pushing, driving

Standing for several hours


Compensation

$200 weekly compensation (before tax)


$25 monthly cell phone stipend


Guest Experience Support Staff will live on campus with shared housing provided

Meals are provided when serving camp guests or traveling for recruiting or marketing purposes
