Head Housekeeper

HEAD HOUSEKEEPER - Full Time/Year Around, $18-20 per hour (based on experience).

Position Summary: The Head Housekeeper (HH) ensures clean, orderly, and attractive facilities for Cedar Springs’ guest groups.  This includes creating a weekly cleaning plan, cleaning, supervising 1-5 housekeepers, inspecting work, and investigating complaints regarding housekeeping service. This position will also help with scheduling, screening applicants, and training new employees.  Work hours are typically M-F 8am to 4pm (with occasional Sunday afternoon work required).

Desired Qualities: Previous work experience cleaning rooms and bathrooms, Ability to manage multiple staff effectively and efficiently, Ability to lift 50lbs, twist and turn, and bend down on knees to clean floors, toilets, showers, etc., An eye for cleanliness and detail, Excellent team member, Ability to nurture young staff in the development of work skills and the Christian faith, Organized, Self-motivated.

Compensation & Benefits:This is a 35-45 hour a week position paying $18-20 per hour (based on experience), 3 weeks of holiday/vacation time, 3% matching IRA package (after the first year of employment), No medical or dental benefits are provided at this time.
Cedar Springs is an adult christian retreat center serving Churches and Christian Organization from around the world. The 66 room 177 bed facility is located in Northwest Washington near the Canadian boarder.
