Summer and Internship Manager
The purpose of the Summer and Internship Manager is to work as an advocate for both guests and staff in order to maximize the experience of the guest and the effectiveness of Tejas as a ministry through management of the Tejas recruiting department, summer staff program, and the Remain Internship. This person will serve alongside the Tejas team in fulfilling the Tejas mission of Setting the Stage for Jesus to Transform Lives. This is accomplished by exemplifying our core values: People, Service, and Adventure.
*Supervise and assist Recruiting Manager with the recruiting process of summer staff, Remain interns, and adventure crew.
*Seek out leadership development opportunities for summer staff and interns.
*Train summer staff, interns, and adventure crew in offering our guests the high quality guest experience during retreats, summer camp, and Lights of Tejas.
*Manage the summer staff, adventure crew, and Remain Internship staff
*Coordinate and schedule summer staff allocations during summer camp
*Coordinate and schedule Intern staff and adventure crew allocations during retreats
*Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all departments
*Communicate our mission, vision, values and policies to guests and staff
*Build relationships with summer team and internship staff to help create a caring and nourishing environment where they will grow in their spiritual faith and leadership
*Serve our retreat, summer camp and Lights of Tejas guests and staff with a servant-heart and exhibit the Team Two:Three model
*Responsible to attend tejas staff events and meetings as required.
*Assist Operations Directors with assignments as needed
A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
Previous camp experience preferred
Demonstrate effective communication skills
Demonstrate a proficient understanding of people management
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and effective involvement in ministry
Demonstrate a desire to grow spiritually and professionally
Demonstrate actions and understanding of spiritual maturity
40 to 50 hours per week on a varied schedule
Time: Full-Time Year Round
