We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to live and work in a close community to serve in the much-needed role of Projects Team Member. The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have about 120 people who live on-site year round, comprised of: full-time staff and families and Professional Semester students. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for somewhat remote living.
Title: Projects Team Member
Reports To: Director of Projects
Job Purpose: To fulfill our mission by contributing to the Projects and Operations team to carry out various tasks.
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with the internal and external customers of the Camp Eagle Family of Camps.
Perform a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to various construction and building remodels and repairs, general building handyman type projects, equipment operation, painting, Audio Visual setups, assisting contractors, and many more.
Willingness to learn new skills on a daily basis
Ability to be flexible with time-off and new policies
Other Duties of ALL Glorieta Staff: We operate year-round. We have guests on the premises almost every day of the year. Serving guests is our number one priority, and therefore ALL staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning (housekeeping), facilitating group activities, running retail locations, general maintenance of camp property, being in the maintenance on call rotation, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members will be required to work certain weekends as needed.

The “ideal” candidate will have:
A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to scripture and will continue to pursue that further
A high work ethic and the ability to handle long hours of manual labor
Ability to work long hours and flexible days, especially in the spring and summer months.
Ability to confront, encourage, and inspire staff towards excellence in their work
Work Context: This job will be performed primarily on location at the Glorieta, New Mexico location
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60 lbs, hike, stand or walk all day, drive vehicles or equipment, operate power tools, be willing to get your hands dirty.
Work Environment: Will be asked to help with logistics (retreats and guest services support) and all-camp projects, including working in inclement weather conditions throughout the year.
Training: Employees will be given opportunity for improvement through appropriate training.
Compensation: Salary, onsite housing, medical insurance, 401(k) retirement package after one year, and paid vacation time. See HR and/or potential supervisor for details.
