Off-Site Day Camp Supervisor

The SAMBICA summer team is committed to the modeling of Christ in word and deed. Being on the front lines of ministry requires a deep passion for Christ. With different roles in the ministry, we are all united to serve Christ, the campers and each other. All team members are a vital part of creating a great experience for the campers and are not limited to their specialized team. Though focused on their specialized team the expectation is that we commit to each other and the greater ministry at SAMBICA, therefore serving in all areas of camp.

This position is responsible for the preparation, development and supervision of a new Day Camp program hosted outside of the physical boundaries of SAMBICA. During the summer, this position will spend a considerable amount of time planning and preparing for a new adventure for SAMBICA, two weeks of Day Camp at a site in the area. This position requires attention to detail, good communication skills, a task-oriented mindset, good managerial skills, and the desire and ability to develop and coach staff and programming. During Off-Site Day Camp weeks, this person will daily be responsible for administrating details of the program, keeping the program on schedule, coaching staff, dealing with campers and challenging situations, making clear decisions and preparing and debriefing staff. This individual will be serving in many different forms to provide the highest quality of excellence for the campers and team members. He or she must be willing and capable of dealing with parents and children concerning discipline and similar program issues. Must have youth ministry experience and be able to delegate tasks.
