Sales and Business Relations Manager

The Sales and Business Relations Manager of CCCA reports to the Director of Operations and Member Services.
Vital to success in this role will be the ability to connect with member camps and business members – while working to connect both groups to each other. Developing and maintaining relationships with each of these audiences is crucial.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing plans to engage the businesses that feature products and services for the Christian camp community, creating mutually beneficial relationships that will also benefit CCCA and its initiatives.
POSITION SCOPE:
Prioritized goals and objectives, also detailed in the Key Focus Areas document, are:

1. Secure new business memberships and maintain existing business memberships.
2. Secure ad sales in InSite magazine and the national conference program.
3. Secure sponsors for Flint & Steel, Excellence in Training, BPTV and conferences.
4. Secure exhibitors for conferences.
5. Manage exhibit events at national conference and assist with exhibit events at Sectionals.
6. Explore and engage cause marketing opportunities for CCCA and its programs.

OVERALL QUALIFICATIONS:
The Sales and Business Relations Manager shall:
1. Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and affirm the CCCA Statement of Faith.
2. Adhere to the Organizational Behaviors of CCCA and sign the document as a covenant with colleagues.
3. Posses a desire to pursue the mission of CCCA.
4. Have a minimum of three to five years sales/advertising sales experience.
5. Be outgoing and eager to build relationships with business members and prospects, as well as camp members.
6. Project a warm-professional image in representing CCCA internally and externally.
7. Possess an innovative, dynamic spirit and eagerness to take risks that generate results.
8. Be detailed-oriented, organized and skilled at follow-through.

DUTIES:
For the benefit of member camps, the Sales and Business Relations Manager will develop, implement, evaluate and adjust strategies that connect businesses with CCCA’s business membership, advertising, sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities. Specifically, this will be done:
1. In business membership
a. Work with the Director of Operations and Member Services and the Marketing/Communications Team to develop and execute a plan for maintaining existing business memberships and securing new business membership.
i. Create a communication plan to keep the benefits of membership in front of business members.
ii. Create business member-related promotions to the commercial business community.
b. Prepare and monitor annual budget for CCCA business membership.
c. Manage an annual business membership drive.
d. Maintain database operations for business members, including contacts, billing and payment, and engagement (sales, sponsorship, exhibiting, etc.).

2. In advertising sales
a. Work with Director of Operations and Member Services and the Marketing/Communications Team to develop and execute strategies for sustaining and increasing ad sales.
i. Create a communication plan to detail the benefits of ad sales through InSite.
ii. Compile data to communicate the reach of InSite ads.
iii. Work with InSite editors and the InSite planning team to develop targeted advertiser strategies that will align ad sales with relevant themes and topics.
iv. Annually evaluate rates and statistics of sales, to better develop strategies.
b. Prepare and monitor annual budget for CCCA InSite ad sales.
c. Maintain database operations for contacts, sales, billing and payment.

3. In sponsorships
a. Work with Director of Operations and Member Services and the Marketing/Communications Team to develop and execute strategies for sustaining and increasing sponsorship commitments.
i. Create a communication plan to detail the benefits of sponsorships through Flint & Steel, Excellence in Training, BPTV, and conferences.
ii. Compile data to communicate the reach of each area of sponsorship opportunity.
iii. Work with the Education Team to develop targeted sponsorship strategies that will align sponsors with relevant themes and topics.
iv. Annually evaluate sponsorship rates and statistics of engagement, to better develop strategies.
b. Prepare and monitor annual budget for CCCA sponsorship engagements.
c. Maintain database operations for contacts, sales, and billing and payment.

4. In conference exhibiting, in general
a. Work with Director of Operations and Member Services and the Marketing/Communications Team to develop and execute strategies for sustaining and increasing exhibitors at national conferences and Sectionals.
i. Create a communication plan to detail the benefits of exhibiting opportunities.
ii. Compile data to communicate the reach of each exhibiting opportunity.
iii. Annually evaluate exhibit rates and statistics of engagement, to better develop strategies.
b. Prepare and monitor annual budget for exhibitor engagements.
c. Maintain database operations for contacts, sales, and billing and payment for exhibitors.

5. In exhibit hall management
a. Manage exhibit hall logistics at CCCA national conference, and support exhibit hall logistics for Sectionals.
b. Work with Director of Operations and Member Services and the Marketing/Communications Team to plan for an exciting, effective, and valuable exhibit hall experience at the national conference.
i. Create a communication plan to detail exhibit hall expectations.
ii. Collaborate with hotel, conference and exhibit hall support vendors and teams.
iii. Be present to manage the exhibit hall process at the national conference.
iv. Evaluate the attendee and exhibitor national conference exhibit hall experiences.
c. Work with Director of Operations and Member Services and the Marketing/Communications Team to best support Sectionals in their exhibit hall facilitation.
i. Create a communication template for Sections to use detailing exhibiting opportunities.
ii. Compile data to communicate the reach of each Section’s exhibiting opportunity.
iii. Assist with an evaluation plan for each Section’s exhibit hall.
d. Maintain database operations for contacts, sales, and billing and payment for exhibitors.
i. This may include for Sectionals, too.

6. In cause marketing
a. Serve as a key member of a collaborative team within CCCA working to develop cause marketing opportunities that connect desired social engagement of businesses with the financial need of specific initiatives within CCCA

Additionally,
7. Develop and monitor annual budget for the Key Focus Areas of Sales and Business Relations Management.
8. Establish and monitor fee structure policies annually.
9. Grow the CCCA database of prospective business members.
10. Develop membership package options that may include the combination of membership, advertising, sponsorship and exhibiting.
11. Create a CCCA Media Kit and related components annually.
