The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have about 120 people who live on-site year round, comprised of: full-time staff and families and gap-year students. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for somewhat remote living.
Job Purpose: We are looking for a Training Specialist to enhance the competencies of individual employees and departments by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees performance and alignment with company’s core mission and values. You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials for managing all phases of training opportunities.
Under the director of the HR Director, collaborate with all Camp Eagle Family of Camps to create and deliver trainings that provide end user training for processes, procedures, company culture and onboarding.
Build training modules and prepare teaching plans around internal training topics
Work with SMEs to determine training objectives and how to measure mastery of training courses
Work with SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) to translate requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path
Deploy training modules in our LMS (Learning Management System)
Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
Develop a unique branded onboarding training experience
Deliver training courses
Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior
Translating requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path
Development of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
Knowledgeable of instructional design theory and learning principles
Proven ability to master the full training cycle
Adequate knowledge of learning management software
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
Familiarity with Tin Can and SCORM.
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
Ability to translate technical SME content into training material
Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
Work Context: This job will be performed primarily in Glorieta, NM at our Shared Services office.
Travel: Some travel at various times of the year will be required to visit our three camps in New Mexico, Texas and Washington state.
Ability to sit and focus on a singular task for several hours at a time.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Work Environment: This position will be primarily office based, but it may need to split time working equally inside/outside depending on needs of camp and busyness of season.
Compensation: Salary, On-site housing, Medical insurance, 401(k) Retirement package after one year, Paid vacation time.
