Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, our Ridgecrest team creates an environment for cultivating experiences, nurturing relationships, and impacting lives for God's glory.
Ridgecrest Camps is looking for a jack-of-all trades to support our facilities throughout the year. This position works independently to maintain the facilities and grounds for Camp Ridgecrest and Crestridge with a focus on minor projects and preventative maintenance. Performs maintenance tasks in areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, preventative maintenance, and grounds
Evaluates needs and recommends action plans
Maintains preventative maintenance records
Maintains maintenance areas
Assists with coordinating projects
Selects and coordinates outsourced suppliers and services
2+ years maintenance related experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and mechanical
High School diploma or GED
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
Some combination of skills in carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical
Clear written and verbal communication
Knowledge of safety precautions, system, and codes
Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to lift 70 lbs, repetitively lift up to 50 lbs with a range from a floor level to above shoulder height walking and standing on a variety of indoor and outdoor surfaces for long periods of time; free range of motion including twisting, bending, stooping, including climbing on step ladders. Must possess ability to use hand and power tools, normal vision, hearing and sense of smell. This position's work schedule (days of week and hours) will vary throughout the year based on camps' operational schedules, and could at times include night/weekend work. Subject to after-hours calls because of maintenance knowledge.
Pool maintenance experience preferred
