Food Services Manager

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will contribute to an overall excellent camping experience by overseeing the management of all aspects of guest services, including staff providing guest services on a day-to-day basis.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
-Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world
-Determine the needs of each group and individual that comes to camp
-Oversee and provide support for all aspects of serving guest groups and InterVarsity groups
-Supervise staff
-Contribute to the effectiveness of the team
-Assist in achieving camp financial objectives
-Assist in ministry to summer crew and interns
-Contribute to the spiritual growth of the camp
-Develop a fund raising base

QUALIFICATIONS
-Annually affirm InterVarsity's Statement of Faith
-College degree or equivalent experience
-Ability to envision and consider innovations for contribution to InterVarsity ministry
-InterVarsity background or equivalent ministry experience preferred
-Flexibility to work irregular and extended hours as required
-Ability to work in a multigenerational and multicultural environment
-Ability to work in cooperation with camp leadership team members to accomplish overall goals
-Management skills and experience
-Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
-Ability to work well with others: staff, guests and volunteers
-Ability to supervise, train and develop staff
-Ability to take charge of tasks and work independently
-Ability to develop procedures for work
-Ability to organize events and necessary details
-Ability to multitask
-Good interpersonal and communication skills
-Must have hospitality gifts
-Previous retail experience, including running a cash register, preferred
-Working knowledge of current Microsoft and financial software applications is preferred
-Able to lift 50 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time
-Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle
-First Aid and CPR (adult & infant) preferred (willing to provide education to become certified)
-HIPAA certification required (willing to provide education to become certified.)

Time:  Full-Time Year Round
Salary:  Paid - Must Raise Partial Support
