Recruiting Manager

Job Title: Recruiting Manager Reports to: Managing Director

Purpose Statement:
TBD – you will help craft a personal purpose statement upon arrival
The primary function of this role is to recruit and hire summer staff, interns, and part-time staff who exhibit a servant attitude and have a desire to further God’s kingdom. This position is 80% recruiting work and 20% hospitality work. This role will directly supervise up to 3 staff during retreat season and up to 20 staff during the summer season.
? Recruiting Responsibilities
Serve as a primary contact for all prospective staff
Build and develop relationship with possible candidates
Coordinate with supervisor on all hiring needs
Assist in the preparation of recruitment materials
Connect with colleges to set up annual recruiting calendar
Sourcing and attract candidates by using the following tools:
Databases, Social Media, house parties, CCCA and Tejas Websites, Camp Fairs,College Fairs, current and former summer team members, guest groups and church partner leadership, private Tejas recruiting events, help dream of new channels for staffing leads
Create a talent pool database of potential candidates for present and future positions
Follow-up with students to fill out inquiry form at recruiting events
Develop and update job descriptions as needed
Screen candidates and job applications
Contact potential candidates for interview within 48 hours of receiving application
Conduct interviews and filter candidates for open positions
Assess applicants relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
Assess applicants spiritual development and awareness
Check applicants references
Share potential candidates with other department heads for them to interview
Recognize and foster relationships with key recruiting
? Onboarding Responsibilities
Maintain and update CampBrain staff module as new staff progress in hiring process
Order Background Check and Video Training
Update database(s) of employee paperwork regularly
Obtain necessary items such as name tags and t-shirts
Continue building relationships with interns and summer staff once hired
Attend Tejas meetings and special events as assigned and requested
Ensure all summer staff paperwork is current
Follow-up with newly hired staff to help inform ongoing staff-care efforts
Welcome incoming staff
? Training & Oversight Responsibilities
Contribute annually to summer staff and intern training
Serve annually as part of summer leadership team
Update and develop staff training documents as needed
Monitor and seek to improve long-term staff retention/attrition rates
Assist in developing and updating long-term leadership pipeline
Organize summer staff reunion in the winter
Oversee recruiting intern
Obtain Lifeguard Instructor Certification and perform annual staff training as needed
Obtain and maintain Level 1 Ropes Certification
? Hospitality Responsibilities
Occasionally serve hosting shifts as needed
Assist with weekend recreation as needed
Serve guests meals while on-site
? General Expectations
Be flexible and respond in grace when unforeseen situation require your assistance
Recognize needs and act on them accordingly
Be the first one to arrive and the last one to leave from Tejas programmed events
Create spaces and foster environments where folks can fall in love with the Lord
Assist with all services pertaining to the guest experiences in a manner that will contribute to the mission of the organization.
