The Program Director is responsible for the planning and execution of the programs at Royal Ridges Retreat (RRR). Programs are defined as something RRR plans and may or may not derive revenue from.
The Program Director is responsible for directing and supervising our summer camp programs.
During the shoulder months, the Program Director will work on creating opportunities to further Royal Ridges missional impact while increasing revenue. Some ideas include: creating day camps during holiday weeks, weekend camps, and outdoor education programs.
The Program Director will be expected to work outside of the office between 2-3 days a week, and planning and building new program activities, as well as hosting guest groups during the slower months.
The Program Director identifies, selects, trains, encourages, and strives to retain seasonal staff through a mentor relationship. To do this job effectively, this person must maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and be able to share their commitment and faith through word and action.
The Program Director reports to the Executive Director.

Ability to develop and select age appropriate Bible lessons and themes.

Ability to coordinate and train supervisors, group leaders, and volunteers.

Ability to motivate, direct, coach and correct subordinate staff.
Ability to facilitate conflict resolution between two or more parties.
Ability to organize summer staff in a way that best serves our campers needs.

Ability to create and maintain a budget.
A heart and willingness to work with the Trails of Life Apprentice program by offering encouragement and prayer.
Ability and willingness to facilitate, train staff and maintain our high ropes course
Develop and select the Bible curriculum for all camps.
Develop the summer theme and promote among staff.
Create and organize all summer camp schedules.
Create summer staff application.
Integrate the summer theme into as many aspects of summer programs as possible.
Develop, implement, and supervise all summer camps.
Recruit and advertise for summer staff and volunteers.
Select, train, and coordinate all summer staff and volunteers.
Address concerns of parents and campers.
Communicate with parents about behavioral issues, major injuries, and any other concerns.
Develop and maintain camper and staff loyalty.
Plan and organize all summer staff parties.
Develop, promote and execute non-summer activities and programs.
Participate in advertising and camp promotional activities.
Assist in summer camp promotional activities.
Facilitate the compensation for all summer staff by submitting a payroll sheet at the end of each week to the Executive Director.
Create annual budget for all Program related expenses.
Participate in the coordination of activities for weekend groups by securing staff and volunteers.
Assist in general office duties such as answering the phone.
