Facilities / Maintenance Technician

Independent high-end Christian camp located in Northwest Arkansas is seeking detailed orientated Christian man to be hands-on in operating and overseeing camp maintenance and facilities areas.

Strong time-management skills, a high level of organization and a meticulous eye for detail are essential qualities to meet the needs of our guests and to work with the on-site staff.

The Facilities / Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, management and preventative care of all HVAC, Sewer and Water Well systems.

The person will work directly with the On-Site Director, other full-time staff and the ownership in the planning, coordinating and implementation of the camp operation and maintenance.

Under the supervision of the On Site Director, applicant duties include contributing to various carpentry, electrical and plumbing projects. Applicant must have strong skills and knowledge to operate and maintain HVAC, Sewer, and Water Well Systems. He must also have knowledge of operating generators. Applicant should also have some expertise in minor vehicle repairs.

The person must model servant leadership in a Christ centered hospitable setting.

Attendance of daily Devotional time and weekly staff meetings are required. The person will assist and support the other staff in camp wide projects.

The ideal candidate will have an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ that permeates all aspects of their family life and work life, a strong desire to serve others, a willing attitude to do what it takes, and to be a team player. A basic understanding of the ministry of Christian camping and camp programming is helpful.

On-site housing, utilities, on-site transportation and meals (when available) are included.

SOTO operates year-round. We have guests on the property almost every week of the year. Serving guests is our number one priority, and therefore all on-site staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, facilitating group activities, general maintenance of camp property, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members are required to work weekends.
