Marketing and Digital Communications Coordinator
Soaring Eagle Camp is searching for an individual whose calling is to further the gospel of Jesus Christ through social and digital media and marketing. Soaring Eagle Camp is a new camp development with many opportunities for an individual who thinks outside the box and is willing to work in a ground level ministry.
The ideal candidate will: • Be a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ • Be active in a Bible-believing church • Be dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the salvation of the lost • Be a person of integrity • Be an avid believer in the ministry tool of Christian camping
Desired qualifications and skills include: • Broad based knowledge of digital communication platforms (i.e. websites, Facebook, Twitter etc.) • Strong interpersonal, public relations and communications skills for building social and business functions for effective partnerships and collaborations. • Must be a team player with the ability to work self-directed. • Attention to detail and follow through a must. • Ability to represent Soaring Eagle Camp (SEC) in a mature and professional manner. • Advanced computer skills, including the ability to use web development and design tools as well as Microsoft Office Suite (excel, powerpoint, etc.). • Ability to communicate the SEC mission and programming to new, former, and potential guests, staff, churches, and community.
Duties: • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan which includes: electronic and print mailings, website, social media, special events, church visits, etc. (CCCA’s Marketing Plan in a Box is available as a guide) • Ensure all marketing and communications coincide with the mission of SEC. • Manage all content and updates of the SEC website. • Monitor, post, and edit social media sites for accuracy, appropriateness and brand compliance. • Monitor online presence and reviews to ensure our mission is being properly represented • Develop and implement social media strategies to ensure proper presence on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat etc. • Develop and manage digital ads for use on various platforms • Work with the SEC Board to develop and maintain an e-mail list for timely communications with supporters and guests. • Work with the SEC Board in developing processes for brand compliant messaging through digital communications programs such as Constant Contact and Mail Chimp. • Work with Executive Director and Camp Coordinator on special projects, reports, calendar, marketing strategies, etc. • Assist in crisis communications as needed. • Build collaborations and partnerships between SEC, churches, and community. • Work with appropriate marketing partners to build a strong SEC brand. • All other duties as assigned.
Desired End Result: • Soaring Eagle Camp will be recognized by the community and our guests as providing excellent service to all who walk through our doors or contact us on the phone and through written communications. • Soaring Eagle Camp will effectively connect and build relationships with its guests and the community, resulting in increased guest bookings and retention. • Consistent superior guest services and satisfaction resulting in continued growth in bookings, programming, and special services. • Through this development and growth we will see more lives forever changed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This is a volunteer position requiring an average of 10 hours per week. No equipment is provided and the ideal candidate will be able to work from home.
Time: Part-Time Year Round
