Activities Coordinator

Full-time position with full benefits. Year round position. Organize and manage activities staff; assume all activities functions; perform all supervisory duties, and give general oversight to Activities Department. Administer and coordinate recreation functions; assumes all recreation functions. Inspect staff work performance on a daily basis to assure that standards and operating procedures are being met and maintained. Maintain supply inventory and orders replacement supplies as necessary. Prepare for the arrival of camp and guest groups; confirms all staff is in appropriate location per the schedule. Ensure neat, orderly maintenance of recreation facilities and storage areas. Oversee all water activities, including aquatics and lifeguarding. Qualifications: Requires minimum two years of college; prefer AA degree in related field. Requires CPR/AED, First Aid. Lifeguard, and Ropes Course certifications preferred. Proficient use of the English language. Maintain a valid CA Driver License with less than two (2) violations in the last 12 months, or a DUI within the last 18 months, and must pass Fleet Safety Test of TSA. Knowledge and understanding of The Salvation Army regulations and procedures and acceptance of the religious philosophy; must have a desire to lead individuals to Christ. Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the public; work cooperatively with others; analyze situations, and adopt a quick and effective course of action. Ability to prioritize and address projects, which may conflict, in a time-sensitive manner. Ability to communicate effectively and to interact with co-workers, management, leadership, and the general public in a positive, productive manner. Ability to present oneself in a professional manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in relation to information and documentation.
