Maintenance Director

Overview this position…
• This position is responsible for the maintenance and/or repair of all physical facilities of Skyview, including, but not limited to, buildings and vehicles, and in doing so this position interfaces with various other staff positions.
• Is an exempt full-time staff position.
• Reports to director responsible for the daily operation of the Ranch.
• Has subordinates that are summer maintenance crew members and/or apprentices/ interns.

Major Duties…
1. Facilities:
a. Maintenance and upkeep of all facilities, including buildings, staff housing, and recreational facilities.
b. Assist with identifying needed projects.
c. Responsible for all “on call” facility related issues.
d. Function as the on-site representative for all building construction projects when so assigned.
e. Responsible for weekly facilities inspections both inside and outside.

2. Vehicles
a. Responsible for regular maintenance on all vehicles.
b. Responsible for repair of vehicles as needed or coordinate with local shops for completion.
c. Responsible for vehicle tags and registration.
d. Responsible for the safe operation of all vehicles.

3. Project/Volunteer Groups
a. Establish and recruit volunteers or workgroups needed for maintenance related projects.
b. Oversee, coordinate, and work with volunteers/workgroups to complete assigned projects.
c. Train individuals regarding tools/equipment required to complete assigned tasks.

4. Pool
a. Responsible for “opening” and “closing”.
b. Responsible for regular maintenance.
c. Responsible for ordering pool supplies.
d. Responsible for seeing that all necessary water sampling/testing is completed in accordance with all state/local requirements.

5. Summer Camp
a. Assist interviewing summer maintenance staff and/or apprentices/interns and make recommendations for hire.
b. Train and supervise summer maintenance crew(s) and/or apprentices/interns as necessary.

6. Miscellaneous
a. The ability to operate motor vehicles – including farm equipment.
b. Dumpsters – Responsible for the management of usage and pickup schedules.
c. Work Order System – Create and track “maintenance” related items in the Work Order System and update as appropriate.
d. Recommend budget related items for inclusion in the annual budget and manage approved budgets.
e. Regular physical effort; requires lifting, carrying or otherwise moving of objects up to a maximum of 75 pounds and regular movement of lighter objects of up to 20 pounds. Also requires the ability to walk or stand on various surfaces both indoors and outdoors for long periods of time.
f. Other duties as assigned by the director responsible for the daily operation of the Ranch.

Qualifications…
1. Shall have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
2. Has read and supports the Constitution of Skyview Regular Baptist Ranch.
3. Also has read and will be supportive of the doctrinal statement of Skyview Regular Baptist Ranch.
4. Previous experience in camp ministry with emphasis in facility maintenance preferred.
5. Above average vehicle maintenance and repair experience.
6. Above average communication skills – both written and verbal.
7. Excellent time management skills.
8. AED, First Aid, CPR certification preferred.
9. Must possess a valid Ohio driver license or able to obtain one.
10. Other duties as assigned by the director responsible for the daily operation of the Ranch.
