Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager oversees the physical care, maintenance and appearance of the Horn Creek Property so that Sky Ranch guests experience a safe and welcoming environment. This person leads the maintenance team and works with them to exceed guest expectations of the overall maintenance, cleanliness, ambiance and beauty of the campsite. This person works with the Camp Director and other Sky Ranch staff to ensure Sky Ranch Horn Creek meets all safety standards.

Qualified candidates should possess the following: Be a committed believer in Jesus Christ, with active membership in a local church. General knowledge related to the field of maintenance, generally acquired through at least 5 years of experience in related fields preferred. Responsible for oversight, revision and execution of preventative maintenance plan with daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal duties as they relate to:
• General Repairs
• Buildings
• Grounds and Landscaping
• Vehicles
• Water system
• Wastewater system
• Equipment
• Roads
• Forestry
• Telecommunications
• Electric and Gas Utilities
• General Housekeeping
Responsible for management of all maintenance department expense budgets, PO’s and financial reporting to the Camp Director. Communicate regularly with Camp Director on all issues as they relate to site and facilities. Work with Camp Director in creation and implementation of camp master plan. Maintain current State of Colorado water and wastewater certification and meet all Colorado testing and regulatory requirements for the camp water and wastewater. Responsible for scheduling required annual property inspections (fire, etc). Responsible for seasonal opening and closing of camps. Responsible for snow removal in the winter. Responsible for leading the maintenance team in completion of all duties and communicating all goals, expectations, and Sky Ranch policies. Assist Construction Manager and subcontractors with property construction and remodels. Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.

Working Conditions: Works both indoors and outdoors (hot and cold weather). Must be able to do more strenuous activities such as working with heavy equipment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. High physical effort required. Ability to use up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift and move objects. Requires some physical agility, including but not limited to: bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; stooping, crouching, and climbing step stools or ladders. Ability to work at heights up to 15 to 20 feet. Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination.
