Camp Cho-Yeh is growing! Due to this growth, we have an opportunity available for young people who are interested in building God’s kingdom through construction here at Cho-Yeh. Are you at a point where living at camp, working hard, gaining experience and reaping the reward of a job well done sounds good? Apply! We’d love to start a dialog with you.
We are looking to build a team of 6 hardworking believers in Jesus Christ who are committed to working hard, working safely and to a willingness to learn. It is a one year long, paid position. The team will work under the leadership of our Construction Supervisor to build various buildings at the camp. Are you skilled in an area of construction? Great! We will put those skills to use. If you haven’t done construction before, all we require is a willingness to learn and to do your best. This is a great opportunity to learn hands-on skills while working with other believers and enjoying the natural beauty of Camp Cho-Yeh.
The areas of construction that you should expect to work on are varied and include rough framing, siding, windows and doors, trim, flooring, painting, electrical and plumbing. Again, we will teach these skills as we go. Our goal is that after your time here, you are more confident in your ability to take on tasks and will have new skills that will benefit you no matter what your career path. Cho-Yeh will provide all the tools and safety gear needed for the job at hand.
The position is paid. Besides the biweekly paycheck, there will be a completion bonus for everyone who stays the one year duration. We ask that anyone who applies be committed to staying for the full duration. Ten days of paid time off are included, as are all meals whenever the kitchen is in operation (typically 7-8 meals per week and 18 per week in the summer). Housing is provided and includes a kitchen and laundry facilities. The work week will typically be Monday through Friday but weekend work may occasionally be required. Position starts August 2017
