Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator provides oversight for the day to day summer camp program operation. This position coordinates and implements daily program needs per the daily schedule. The Program Coordinator attends onsite volunteer staff meetings and communicates necessary information to the Program Director. The Program Coordinator also supervises onsite staff housing and assists the Program Director with the supervision of all summer program staff.

This position requires a person with an attitude of service and a commitment to the Bay Shore Camp vision, mission, and core values. It requires a person who possesses an evangelical Christian commitment and a lifestyle consistent with the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate will be fluent in verbal, written and electronic communication skills. This person should have a solid understanding of licensing and certification requirements including State of Michigan, ACCT, and Water Safety. This person will be able to supervise employees and volunteers, to work without direct supervision, and will be able to undertake the job responsibilities in a timely, friendly, respectful and detail-oriented manner.

The qualified candidate maintains a viable and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and exemplifies that relationship in daily life. He/she will work well with others, be self-motivated, and anticipate the needs of guests and staff. He/she should be able to handle multiple projects and issues at the same time while maintaining a positive attitude, and should possess the ability to interact extremely well with others.

This is a full time, seasonal, salaried position, running from May-Labor Day. Start and end dates are flexible. Onsite housing is required and provided. Meals are included when being served.
