Annual Michigan Sectional Conference - March 1-3, 2010

Each year, all the Christian camps in Michigan come together to experience three days together of refreshment and education. More detailed information is available on the conference website.

Director's Gathering - november 8-9, 2009

This retreat is an overnight for directors of Christian camps. It is a time to share ideas, struggles, and challenges from the past year and to assist other directors in planning for the future. There will be a time of prayer and sharing and encouragement as well as learning and growing.

This year's retreat will be held at Timber Wolf Lodge, a Young Life camp and retreat center near Lake City, Michigan. To register please contact Dave Vanderwel.

PROGRAM ADVANCE - November 11-12, 2009

A program advance is a time for program directors and others who are involved with running programs at their camp to come and share ideas. This will be a fantastic retreat at another camp where you will be benefit from fresh ideas, lots of encouragement and answers to questions and concerns. The 2009 Program Advance will be held at Portage Lake Bible Camp near Onekema, MI. To register please email jason@miraclecamp.com. The cost is only $25 for the overnight retreat.

Cook's Advance - november 9-11, 2009

This retreat is a time of learning and sharing for food service directors and cooks around Michigan and Indiana. Wondering how to cut costs, learn new recipes, or deal with camp related challenges? This retreat is for you to share ideas and learn from others.

This year's advance will be held at Lake Ann Camp in Lake Ann, MI, near Traverse City. The cost is only $35 for the retreat! For more information please email Brent Swensen at kitchen@lakeanncamp.com.

Maintenance Advance - December 1-2, 2009

A maintenance advance is designed for maintenance leaders at various camps to network and share information learned in a round table format. There will also be work projects to benefit the hosting camp. The sessions are interactive and interns can explore things that they have learned and challenge one another as they pursue a future in Christian camping.

Guest services/Office ADVANCE - DECEMBER 7-8, 2009

This is the first time Michigan CCCA has held a guest services advance. With the growing number of camps who have started renting facilities to outside groups, we feel there is a need for guest services, office, and hospitality staff to network together to share best practices and ideas for streamlining services.
