2011 National Conference

Dozens of high-quality seminars will address topics from foodservice to finances, and general sessions will draw you closer to the Creator in worship and inspire you to grow personally and professionally.


Sections

Section MapAn extensive network of chapters exists for CCCA camp/conference members. (See a map.) Each CCCA section has officers who oversee valuable benefits, including annual grassroots conferences to nurture and educate leaders on all levels. Executive Leadership Summit

Designed for camp leaders from ministries with annual gross revenues of $1 million or more, the Executive Leadership Summit is set at a five-star-service venue in Auburn, Ala., with training provided by hospitality industry legend Horst Schulze and hotel staff leaders. Experience the power of strategizing with other executives and hospitality experts, and gain spiritual perspectives from Christian leadership expert Reggie McNeal.


Online Training Conference

Easily accessible for all staff, the Online Training Conference (OTC) brings affordable, interactive training to your camp. LeaderCast

LeaderCastA quarterly video briefing for camp and conference executives, LeaderCast is provided by CCCA President Gregg Hunter to educate, inform and inspire leaders to think about and plan for issues key to maximizing their ministry. Generally, printed material such as checklists, policy suggestions and talking points for follow-up on the issues accompany these videos.

LeaderCast is e-mailed to all executive members and is also available to non-members by subscription.


Waypoint Research

Waypoint ResearchCCCA is the only organization that provides comprehensive, cross-tabulated data in the field of Christian camping. Waypoint Research from 2009, as well as the Industry Survey from 2007, are available online free to members. They provide must-have information for decision makers, including operating ratios, salary comparisons and needs assessments, broken down by type of operation, budget size and more.

Non-members may purchase the surveys in the online store.


 

Nearly 8,000 Christian camp and conference center leaders are members of CCCA. Through various means, the association helps members find the right colleagues with whom to compare notes, process, plan and pray.

EncouragementOften, peers within the association — those who have experienced the day-to-day issues of Christian camping — provide the best answers to ministry and business-related questions. CCCA gives individual members the opportunity to be listed on an online directory. Members may search the database for colleagues by name, position, state, camp name or a combination of these criteria. This online tool allows Christian camp and conference center professionals to network, exchange ideas and be nurtured in a friendly community.


Toll-Free HELP Line

Callers receive how-to hints, encouragement, link-up referrals and program/product information. Member relations associates will give immediate recommendations over the phone, and personalized responses—often including sample documents—are generally e-mailed or faxed within 24 hours.

Member Portal

This members-only site, personalized for each member, provides easy access to CCCA’s multiple online tools, including job listings, e-publications and other resources, member prayer requests and news, and association updates. The portal displays inquiries from the public about a member’s camp or conference center. In addition, it links members to a page where they can conveniently update membership information or renew their memberships.


Member ALERTs

The ALERT (advanced leadership e-mail relay tool) system allows executive directors and section presidents to communicate with each other and other members about issues critical to Christian camping. All executive directors, section presidents and CCCA board members are automatically signed up to receive these e-mails; any member can opt to receive these messages as well. Members may choose to receive ALERTs originating in their areas or those from any area of the country.


Online Résumés

OnlineResumeCCCA members looking for year-round or seasonal employees or volunteers can go to the CCCA Web site, log on to the Member Portal, and review the profiles of qualified prospects. CCCA’s online résumés help members match applicants’ qualifications to position requirements, connecting them with prospective candidates.

Job ListingsFor maximum exposure, members can compile their job openings—full-time or summer—and place them on the CCCA Web site to be seen by the general public. Interested individuals can then contact the organizations directly. This method of getting the word out is excellent when time is of the essence in filling important slots.

Christian Video Licensing International

CVLIChristian Video Licensing International has extended an umbrella license to CCCA. Through CCCA, camp and conference members are entitled to discount fees when they comply with federal copyright law pertaining to the showing of videos in a public setting.
