The Glorieta Conference Center of LifeWay Christian Resources, located 18 miles from Santa Fe, New Mexico, is seeking an individual experienced with A/V equipment to lead our A/V and conference support services. The person selected for this management position will oversee the day to day operations, storage, inventory control, maintenance, circulation, and setups of all classroom/conference room/auditorium equipment. This Manager must be competent and capable of providing technical support and training to all LifeWay staff (regular, temporary, contract workers, and volunteers) and guests in the proper and safe use of sound, lighting, video and data equipment. The Manager will serve as a consultant and coordinator to guests regarding the “best use practices” and operation of auditorium and stage set-ups, including proper positioning of equipment (microphones, monitors, lighting, banner placements, risers, cabling, etc.). This person must facilitate the preparation of all conference spaces, including cleaning, chairs, tables, and other miscellaneous items. This individual will be responsible for creating billing invoices for equipment and services used.
WE NEED:
Minimum of a two year technical degree is required
Four year degree with emphasis in theater, production, or audio engineering is preferred
At least 2-3 years job-related experience with A/V equipment, lighting, sound, video/computer equipment is required
Must have strong interpersonal, team building, and customer service skills
Must be a strong planner and organizer
Outstanding verbal communication skills are required
Must be capable of moving/manipulating equipment of 100+ pounds
Must be available for some evening and week-end work
Must be an active participant in an evangelical church
