Forest Home is looking for a Director of Food Services to join the team! In this position you will be responsible for providing managerial leadership and oversight to the Food Service Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develops department Managers in collaborative and high trust leadership methods.
•Active participant on the Food Service Leadership Team
•Implements and drives initiatives derived from the department Leadership Team.
•Maintains the quality, ministry and financial stability of Food Service operations.
•Oversees the recruiting, hiring, training, evaluation, development and discipline of all staff.
•Maintains a safety program for all work areas, vehicles and equipment.
•Support subordinate leaders with information, training, development, encouragement, prayer, etc.
•Monitors and inspects overall food and hospitality experience to assure guest satisfaction. Reviews evaluations and makes adjustments.
•Oversees financial performance of department. Regularly monitors budget to maintain compliance.
•Oversees the purchasing and inventory functions of the department to ensure that all purchased items remain within budgetary guidelines.
•Stays abreast of trends and developments in the areas of food costing, inventory and labor control.
•Proficient in and oversees the use of the food service software system.
•Generates the Food Service annual budget with consensus of Leadership Team.
•May assist in planning and coordinating special events.
•Creates and successfully implements all projects.
•Provides financial reports to the Leadership Team pertinent to expense control.
•Familiarity with the production and presentation of meals.
•Develops spiritual advisors and mentors in the department.
•Attends planning sessions as requested.
•Actively supports and participates in spiritual life activities.
•Performs other duties as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Supervises: Hospitality Manager, Culinary Manger, Commissary Manager, Administrative Assistant and correlating subordinating employees. Additionally, supervises other Food Service employees as necessary.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, with 5+ years of experience in a related field.
•Demonstrated track record in leading teams.
•Progressive experience in inventory and financial management.
•Complete understanding of the budgeting and forecasting process.
•A self-starter.
•Excellent people service skills, with the ability to provide service and streamline processes without compromising the integrity of the department or Forest Home and its policies and procedures.
•Able to accomplish assigned projects utilizing excellent communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
•Ability to perform high quality work.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality.
•Demonstrated support and involvement in a local church.
•Regular, timely attendance.
•Signed statement of faith.
