To provide participants with a basic understanding of sociology and an awareness of recent and impending cultural changes and societal attitudes that intersect with Christianity. This information will provide a context for the development of a more relevant ministry.

Purpose of the course:

To give participants a clear understanding of how theology, methodology, environment, structure, and management culminate in a manifestation of mission and purpose. This information will lead to an evaluation of the program style and tactics in one’s own organization and set the stage for surrounding such with specific disciplines that will result in maximum effectiveness. It will also help participants establish and/or confirm a personal philosophy of ministry and institute fitting career goals.

Modules:

Philosophy of ministry — Identifying and espousing critical principles and practices

Goals, objectives, and activities — Identifying and applying convictions in the form of a plan

Support mechanisms — Identifying and adopting operational elements to advance and sustain program

Purpose of the course:

For participants to examine the basic makeup of common departments, and to ascertain the scope and impact of a particular function. This information will result in the participant being better able to operate inter- and intra-departmentally, and provide insights to effectiveness by offering a comprehensive overview of traditional and contemporary tactics and tasks within the desired discipline.
