Business Manager

Camp is an intense and fulfilling experience for people with many different skills and interests. Camp Cedarbrook in the Adirondacks, a Christian girls camp in the Adirondack mountains of New York, is looking for Christian women to serve as our Business Manager. Business Managers major responsibilities include managing the financial resources and overseeing the camp store in a manner consistent with all legal requirements, acceptable accounting procedures, and sound business practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have knowledge of accounting procedures
Must have skills and experience with computers
Must be able to manage on-going financial accounts
Must be able to work well with others
Must be 19 years and older
Must agree with the Spiritual Standard and Statement of Faith

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage in-camp bookkeeping operations.
Write checks as necessary and maintain the checkbook.
Pay bills.
Administer bank transactions.
Manage accounting and disbursement of petty cash, salary advance, and tuck return money.
Communicate with year-round business manager in order to coordinate work.
Submit budget reports to director as requested.
Oversee the inventory and order requests of office supplies and arrange for the routine maintenance of the camp business equipment.
Maintain inventory of office supplies and place appropriate orders.
Ensure office equipment is in good operating condition.
Promote practices that seek to reduce waste, reuse items, and recycle as much as possible.
Manage the tuck shop.
Operate the tuck shop when assigned to do so.
Maintain inventory records and manage purchasing during the summer.
Manage tuck sheets for campers and staff.
Maintain cleanliness of tuck shop and request maintenance as necessary.
Assist with general office tasks.
Answer phones when assigned.
May include typing, filing, printing, copying, etc.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB:
Ability to effectively communicate orally.
Ability to safely and properly operate office equipment.
Manual dexterity to utilize computer and other office equipment.
