SUMMER STAFF (L.A.S.T. CREW) 2019

We are looking for highly passionate people to join our team of summer staff. Serve, lead, and grow at Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds and be a part of a team dedicated to providing “Service as tall as our trees.”

We desire to build up leaders by encountering Christ and community through
Leadership, Adventure, and Service Training (LAST).

LAST exists to equip leaders with the power of humility and wonder through community and creation.

LEADERSHIP: Grow your leadership abilities through practical on-the-job leadership training seminars. Learn from leaders from all walks of life and discover how God has uniquely gifted you for leadership.

ADVENTURE: Work and live in the redwoods of California and experience what it is like to lead and grow in God’s creation. Learn how to run ziplines, climbing towers, and many other adventure-based activities.

SERVICE: Grow as a joyful servant of God through serving guests, even in the hard jobs. This could mean washing dishes, cleaning up trash, or guiding a kayak tour.

TRAINING: Grow through intentional and processed experiences under the guidance of veteran staff. Training intensives include soft-skills, like Biblical servant-leadership, as well as hard-skills, like challenge course facilitation.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Employee must be/have:
• Born-again Christian with a Biblical lifestyle and an interest in maturing in his/her faith
• Demonstrate people skills
• A team player and servant attitude
• Self-disciplined and reliable
• Safety conscious
• Ability to handle crisis events and work under authority
• Teaching or have facilitating experience
• Physically fit to meet the demands of hiking the trails and various challenge courses
• Communication skills including phone etiquette and basic computer skills

Education / Experience:
• Be at least a rising high school senior or currently enrolled in a university program
• Lifeguard/CPR/AED preferred
• Outdoor leadership experience preferred

Requirement:
• Must pass background check to be eligible for employment
