Resident Program & O.E. Team Member
Black Rock Retreat is looking for people who have a passion for working with youth to teach in our Outdoor Education program. We are currently looking for qualified individuals to work in our Outdoor Education program during our Spring, Summer and Fall 2017 camp year. Experience and/or background in Education, Biology, and Youth Ministry is preferred, however the most important requirement is the desire to impact the lives of young people by sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
Most of our fall programs bring 5th-8th grade students from Christian schools to Black Rock for three days of general science and/or environmental education classes and/or a challenge ropes course experience. As students look at creation, they come to learn more about their Creator. Instructors teach classes, facilitate the ropes course, run games, lead hikes, and share during devotion times. It is a great opportunity to impact the lives of young people by teaching about God as Creator and Lord of all. Instructors also lead OE programs for homeschool and public school students.
Program Staff to work as instructors, ropes course facilitators and lifeguards work a full 45+ hrs/week and are paid a competitive daily salary which includes housing, laundry facilities, and most meals. We are looking for staff to start March 29, 2017 and work through November 11th, 2017.
Hiring is currently in underway. All applications will be considered until positions are filled. Please note: this is a resident -8 Month- position. Housing is included as well as most meals. Currently we do not have married housing available.
