JOB SUMMARY:
To provide leadership to Forest Home’s Family Camp Children & Youth programs [Family Youth & Children’s Program (FYCP) and Child Care Assistant Program (CCA)]

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans and directs Forest Home's Family Camp Children & Youth programs to run as best in class (includes Chipmunk Corner).
• Plans and directs children’s & youth programs within Family Camp events.
• Teaches children’s and youth chapel sessions as needed.
• Works closely with Director of Family Camp to develop complementarian programming throughout Family Camp (includes producing and directing annual musical)
• Develops and maintains communication and growing relationships with parents of both FYCP and CCA campers.
• Works closely with marketing and sales team to recruit CCA campers to ensure attendance goals are met
• Provides leadership (recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation) to FYCP and CCA ministry staff (including Chipmunk Corner staff)
• Teaches the Bible including, but not limited to: large group speaking, Bible Studies, seminar teaching, and curriculum design.
• Plans and adheres to annual budgets for FYCP and CCA programs
• Evaluates the results of the overall ministry and operations of the FYCP & CCA programs on a regular, systematic basis and reports these results to supervisor.
• Accounts for the overall physical and emotional safety and security procedures for FYCP & CCA program staff, campers, visitors and facilities.
• Actively supports and participates in staff spiritual life activities.
• Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• College degree required.
• Demonstrated experience in developing curriculum and programs for Children/Youth ministry.
• Demonstrated understanding of trends in family ministry.
• Demonstrated understanding of theological perspectives and trends within the Christian community
• Proficiency in large-group communication (including Biblical teaching).
• Experience in planning programs, administrating, budgeting, scheduling, hiring and training.
• Supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership ability.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supervises Summer Residential FYCP & CCA ministry staff.
