TITLE: Graphic Designer
LOCATION: Glorieta, New Mexico
REPORTS TO: Media Manager/Creative Director
START DATE: ASAP
COMPENSATION: Negotiable, but commensurate with an entry level design position at a non-profit organization.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for an energetic, versatile designer to join our growing design team and help strengthen our ministry’s visual presence. This position should have a keen understanding of digital design, a love for typography and a base knowledge of graphic design staples but feel equally comfortable stretching their skill set into print and UX. As an in-house designer, our brand is your baby so you have an unwavering (hey, call it borderline annoying) urge to project consistency and accuracy in everything you produce. You always aim for pixel-perfection but understand the impact that deadlines can have on your workflow.
Our mission is to Inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships and Biblical truth, and we want to continually reach this audience through relevant, well crafted and well-designed digital and print media campaigns. This position will participate in design briefs and be tasked with bringing campaigns to life through email communications and supporting marketing content through well designed posts and images for all our social channels. You will work with the Camp Eagle Family of Camp’s’ existing and evolving style as well as create new illustrations, infographics and icons to be used across our realm of platforms. You will be encouraged to share your voice on how to make a story visually powerful, fun, and inspiring for our audience.
This is not your typical designer position. From day 1, you’ll be working on meaningful projects that span across digital, interactive and print. You’ll work with a team that thrives on creativity, new ideas and the art of a well-placed .gif.
We’ve got some exciting things in store for 2017 and beyond – help us stay relevant and reach others for Christ through well executed design.
• Creative Asset Design and Production – Create assets such as iconography, illustrations and infographics that can span across various digital and print mediums.
• Email Campaigns – Work within a set of approved templates and occasionally create new modules to support email campaigns.
• Digital Design & Development – Using Camp Eagle’s Brand Standards, translate approved campaign messaging into posts for our social channels, print materials and web pages.
• Asset Management & Distribution – Assist in curating a rich database of photography, icons and other creative assets that can be used across Glorieta’s communication channels. Work with Marketing and Design team to create a reliable and timely system of asset delivery.
• Collateral and Presentation Design – Support our on-the-road marketing team, summer staff recruiters and program directors as needed by designing branded materials, displays and cool merchandise.
Camp Eagle is a faith based outdoor adventure camp and conference center with a sister campus in Glorieta, NM (Glorieta Camps) and a campus just outside of Seattle, WA (Black Diamond Camps). Our team is part of the Shared Services department that provides media and design services for all 3 locations, but is based at our Glorieta campus in New Mexico.
We exist to inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships and biblical truth. We know there is a unique opportunity to connect with our creator in the outdoors and we hope we can facilitate that connection for anyone who steps on our property.
