Food Service Interns

Crossings Ministries is seeking Food Service Interns. This is a unique opportunity for an organized, self-motivated team players who enjoy leadership and working with other people, and who desires to learn and grow in a professional, community-based kitchen.

Responsibilities include assisting the Food & Beverage Manager and the Kitchen Manager in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including: Preparing/cooking meals from scratch, preparing meals for groups of 20-800 persons, working to add farm to table cuisine, and maintaining a high level of hospitality. You will manage, supervise, and provide accountability for healthy food preparation and standards for guests, plan and execute menus and purchase products based on type of group, size, and dietary needs. You will initiate, conduct, and participate in training and orientation programs for all food service staff regarding proper operation of the department. Oversees the dining hall, concessions vending and kitchen including cleanliness, and/or any other national, state, local, and health code standards.

Typically a 14 month commitment. Some experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred. An individual with a servant’s heart, a desire to share the Gospel, and an interest in Ministry through food is desired. This is a salaried paid position and includes most meals and onsite housing.

Cedarmore is owned and operated by Crossings Ministries of Louisville and located between Frankfort and Shelbyville, KY. Louisville and Lexington are within an hour drive. We exist to Proclaim the Gospel! Email a cover letter and resume with references.
